OLD NEWS:

On APRIL 6th we played at the (private) post F.A. Cup semi-final party for BARNSLEY F.C. .... a difficult challenge, but we tried our best to cheer them up.

Clare Hirst has replaced Beverley Chadwick as the Fugitives Sax player. Beverley has embarked on a business venture overseas. We thought that Beverley was irreplaceable but Clare has resumed seamlessly where Beverley left off.

Clare is an accomplished musician with impressive credentials. She has her own band and they have recently performed at the Brecon Jazz Festival and The Johnny Dankworth Club. For more information about Clare's musical background, check out her website at www.clarehirst.co.uk

Beverley will always be an honorary member of the band, and we hope she will make guest appearances alongside Clare and the rest of the band whenever she is back in the UK.

The band had a successful short tour of Southern Spain in July.

Stuart has been busy writing new material for the next album,
and gigging with "The Infamous Relief Orchestra" -
50's out & out R n R band.

Jim Russell, who plays on most of our In Memoriam album, has recently been touring with Scotty More, Elvis' old guitar player, finally recording an album in Nashville.

Kirk Riddle has been playing bass on Phillip Goodhand-Tait's latest albums: "The Last Laugh" and "Ricky Tick 40 years on ",

Both C.D's are available from The Stormsville Skakers web site.
